It looks like the Pentagon armed non Islamist "good" Syrian rebels (aka Kurds) while the CIA armed Islamist insurgents (the name "Knights of Righteousness" is a tip off).

Anyhow the Pentagon and CIA have been arming Saudi Arabia that have been funding and arming these three radical groups against Syria, Russia, Iraq, the Kurds and Iran.

Note the date of the beginning of the attempt to overthrow Assad, 2011, the “Arab Spring” and Hussein’s attempt to install the Moslem Brotherhood in Egypt. Assad’s father didn’t F around with the MB and slaughtered 25,000 of them in Aleppo.
