Gov. Nathan Deal said he will veto the “religious liberty” bill that triggered a wave of criticism from gay rights groups and business leaders and presented him with one of the most consequential challenges he’s faced since his election to Georgia’s top office.

The measure “doesn’t reflect the character of our state or the character of its people,” the governor said Monday in prepared remarks. He said state legislators should leave freedom of religion and freedom of speech to the U.S. Constitution.

He said state legislators should leave freedom of religion and freedom of speech to the U.S. Constitution.

Amen, bro!

Say, Nathan, since you brung it up, have you ever actually read The Constitution?

If so, what do you think The Framers had in mind when they said one's right to freedom of religion and speech shall not be infringed?

“doesn’t reflect the character of our state or the character of its people,”

So, he’s saying “Georgia doesn’t value religious liberty”?

Deal is the quintessential RINO, was a Democrat congressman until about 1994. Now he’s in the pocket of the Chamber of Commerce.

When Coca Cola threatened to pull out of Atlanta, that was it.

Meal was placed into power by the very elites in corporate Atlanta he is bowing down to now. That is why having a presidential candidate owned by major financial, business or labor union interests is so dangerous. It is not the will of the people or the good of the people that is considered just the good of the money flow for the politician.

This is one of the major reasons I support Trump.

Unsurprised. Deal is awful. He’s backing gun rights for now, so I will grant him that, but soon enough he will break on that too.... as soon as his masters in DC tell him to.

Coca Cola would never pull out of Atlanta. The cost would be outrageous. It was a bluff.

Sticks wet finger up to see which way the wind is blowing, then makes a courageous, Profile in Courage, decision based on his core beliefs.
This man is destined for Washington. Probably as a Senator.

I had hoped Georgia would remain resistant to the abuse that is thrown upon Christians for standing up for their belief. Sadly it seems the world has decided to eliminate Christianity, the one best hope for humanity, in favor of chaos.
