My son is on the very high functioning end of the Autism spectrum and we’ve had tremendous success with hyperbaric chamber therapy. There is an MMA group that also uses it, and the guys are so great and down to earth. My husband lifts very seriously, so my kids are used to the weight room, lifting, and big guys, but these guys don’t even know the kids. They high five the autistic kids and allow those that are comfortable with it to grapple with them. Some with autism are more comfortable upside down than right side up, and the MMA guys will hold them upside down with one arm. They don’t have to do it, but they do.
