Historically satire has been one of the most effective means of critique. As an opinion writer, I feel sarcasm and irony can often help deliver a message across more effectively than anything else. I will admit though that I have had to explain myself on more than one occasion when people took what I wrote quite literally.

I feel sarcasm and irony can often help deliver a message across more effectively than anything else. Read, this is exactly the way I've always tried to come across when writing. But, the disadvantage with this style -folks can't see your face, see your expressions, see your sincerity or lack thereof. So, it can cost a few friendships. But, I've still got 93 frds on my ping list and only lost eleven. [these eleven jumped ship, -in just the past two weeks. I can't imagine what happened........roflmao]
