“Corey had every right to pull her away from Trump as had a duty to protect Trump.”
*******
No. He did not. He is not law enforcement. He is not Secret Service.
The Florida statute under which is he charged provides in relevant part:
“784.03(1)(A)(1) The offense of battery occurs when a person actually and intentionally touches or strikes another person against the will of the other.”
What’s on video meets this definition. Being campaign manager isn’t a defense.
Notice how he is looking directly at her. /s
If you are protecting someone that you feel is in danger you have every right to pull the offender away. It’s called self defense and his #1 duty at that moment is to protect the candidate.
Yes we will. BTW, thanks for being a good sport I enjoy the banter with you. You are classy Kara. :-)

Thanks, right back at you.
Spin...spin...spin. His conduct meets the statutory definition for misdemeanor battery.
The Cult of Trump is as bad as the Cult of Obama. We’re heading into a Venezuelan Chavista mobocracy replacing the rule of law.
“Also, let us remember what Corey had to say about it.
“@MichelleFields you are totally delusional. I never touched you. As a matter of fact, I have never even met you. “
We can all clearly see in the video that Corey Lewandowski isn’t looking at Michelle Fields as he moves her out of the way, his gaze is focused ahead on Trump.
It is reasonable that he had no memory of having touched her since he had never met her and didn’t know her, a fact that she has never challenged.
At the time of the scrum she was just one more young woman in the crowd, albeit one that was crowding Trump as he is leaving, which none of the other journalists shown in the video are doing.
Did this thing with this snowflake happen before or after the crazy guy ran to the airport hanger platform stage?
Look at Michelle Field’s physical appearance the night of the scrum. Little makeup, glasses, ill fitting clothes. She looks 40, easily.
Now go look at every OTHER picture you’ll find of her.
Looks like a totally different woman.
Interesting!!
That’s not a video. It’s a series of snapshots.
Of course if Lewandowski and Fields had never met before it wouldn’t matter what she looked like the night of the scrum.
She simply wouldn’t register on his memory as anything other than one more face in a very large crowd.
well played
Hey, Juiceboxers have thin arms.
Once again some doof getting too close to Trump. Trump has more standing than Obama and I’m sure the people surrounding BOzo don’t take any crap.
Hey, it was virtual rape! Fields told Megyn Kelly that it was her worst experience since her dad died. She told ABC News that she was “touched and violated”.
Wait until a jury gets a load of her taped interviews with her wild exaggerations, this will get laughed out of court in ten minutes.
True.
But he probably looked up her pic onna net. Just for kicks. And was absolutely certain he hadn’t seen that particular woman at all. And he hadn’t. He’s seen ‘frumpy dumpy michelle’.
You are being overly harsh. Some are sensitive snowflakes.
The police are just doing their job as the law requires. I doubt Trump or his supporters will fault them. It is the reporter and her lawyer abusing the law with frivolous accusations that is so objectionable.
The fact that Cruz supporters are glomming onto this story because they think they see an opportunity to show Trump in a bad light is shameful.
This is no different than the college students filing charges of racism and violence when they see #Trump2016 written in chalk on a park bench. It’s disgusting enough that leftists use those tactics against republicans, but when Cruz supporters join in, it speaks volumes about where they really stand on important issues.
Laws are passed and enforced to ensure justice and protect people from harm. Abusing laws for political advantage undermines their effectiveness.
Remember what happened when the boy cried wolf one too many times when there was none: The repeated false alarms caused the town folk to doubt whether there was really a wolf, so they ignored his cries when the wolf actually attacked. And what the fable doesn’t point out is that the boy didn’t only put himself in danger by his false alarms, he put everyone in danger.
The National Enquirer is no more credible than some obscure website running an “expose” from an unpaid, second-tier Trump volunteer, which was commissioned by Mandy Stadtmiller.
I’ve read both. Have you?
“It is reasonable that he had no memory of having touched her since he had never met her and didnt know her, a fact that she has never challenged.”
Funny.
Remember that Rush parody song of Hillary not remembering.
