It’s likely a misdemeanor charge - no jury.
It’s not a personal injury suit, it’s a criminal issue (and a small one). The reporter doesn’t need a lawyer and doesn’t really need to show up. (in response to some morons post about keeping her in court) There is a DA who will run the show. They are bringing the charges. It’s out of the reporters and the states hands now.
