How many real women do you know and how alienated do they feel about Trump? The meme is out there, put in place by those who want Hillary in the WH and it tries to confuse/convince "Women" that Trump denigrates them and then uses 'polls" to "prove" the point. Anyone think Cruz is "alienation of women - free" right now? Real women also recognize masculine loyalty as Trump has exhibited while Cruz say to dump the guy as he may be an inconvenience. Trump is the only one exhibiting leadership traits right now as Ted plays "spoiler" and makes false statements/inferences that he uses to "demonstrate" toughness on behalf of women.
I see much of this type of comment on FR recently, particularly about the Trump/women issue. “My wife”, “all the women I know”, “How many real women...”.
Hopefully we are still astute enough around here to know the difference between the information available in our relatively minute circle of acquaintances versus real actual data.
But, many things have had to be stood on their head for this one man. Always a bad idea.
You do realize that this became another "behind the scenes" propaganda push against Trump and much of it arose because he made a statement that if abortion becomes illegal, then women who have abortions should be punished - seems like many here who express jubilation in his "alienation of women" meme would appreciate his stance. I've seen stories that say he's scaring the women off (posted here) but haven't actually seen one of the polls so i don't know who did the polling, what the main audience makeup was, or what the wording was. If you know any of that, please point me in the right direction.
My response you quoted and the poll info I’m about to post came before the abortion remarks.
“A March NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll showed almost half (47 percent) of Republican female primary voters said they would not vote for Trump, and a whopping 70 percent of women voters overall have a negative view of him. A Fox News poll this week also had almost identical results.”
As for the abortion remarks themselves, simply Trump projecting a New York liberals idea of what conservatives want.
I looked at some of those polls and while they showed a high dislike for Trump, they also seemed to indicate 52% (more than the other candidates) willing to support/vote for him. Omitting that particular gem makes one wonder about the agenda of those who cite the headlines and ignore the salient meat.
Notice how Cruz tried to leverage Trump's abortion comment by pandering to the pro-abortion crowd? Lots of factors that seem to escape many.
