It's common sense to fix problems in your own backyard before getting involved in problems halfway around the world. We should have taken out that 2-bit communist regime 50 years ago.

Since the Bay of Pigs fiasco, one American president after another has refused to do anything about Fidel Castro. When Castro emptied his jails during Carter's time that was an act of war.

Any country concerned about its sovereignty, which precludes the U.S., would have vaporized this communist dictatorship. And it would have sent a message to that much bigger problem directly to the South that we do not suffers fools lightly. Our appeasing ways is a tragedy that keeps on giving.
