Almost 2,000 Republicans in North Dakota head this afternoon to the state GOP convention, at which the state's 25 delegates to the Republican convention in Cleveland will be selected.

The only thing is, North Dakota Republicans have not had and will not hold a primary or a caucus. The delegates selected in Fargo this weekend will be chosen by a small handful of party insiders, as opposed to voters.

The only other states that does not hold any sort of Republican primary or caucus is Colorado, which instead held precinct caucuses on March 1 to begin the delegate selection process for the convention but no presidential vote.

Well Vat-tax Ted Cruz is the keynote speaker, and his dad has been here all week meeting with folks. I think Ben Carson will also be at the convention.

Yeah but GOP insiders may go with Kasich. Yes, I believe it will be Carson filling in for Trump.

The eastern part of North Dakota is GOPe. The western part is libertarians. The major populations centers are more aligned with GOPe.

KAsich and Cruz should have the most support if this were a normal year. However, the RNC influence will be to have more Cruz delegates, a few will be Kasich and Trump may gain one or two. The people there hate open conflict and prefer to stab someone in the back to confronting them in a public way.

Better then Cruz at this point. I am in a not Cruz mood. I am deeply disgusted with him.

Probably Cruz, but Trump may have a stronger showing than some believe.
