In the movie “Bridge Over The River Kwai,” Lieutenant Colonel Nicholson played by Sir Alec Guinness upon seeing the cables to blow up the bridge during low tide, realizes the impending disaster and exclaims “Oh God, What Have I Done”! as he falls on the plunger.

If Clinton, the worst the Rats can ever offer is now seen as beating Trump even in the reddest of red states- Utah, Trump supporters must ask themselves “Oh God What Have We Produced”?

This is such BS. Carter was beating Reagan by 20 points BEFORE THEY ACTUALLY RAN AGAINST EACH OTHER.

More propaganda.

Are you talking about the tiny Liechtensteinian-like country of Cruzutahidaho?

Former Cruzer here. Now all I care about is supporting the eventual Republican Nominee. Cruz or Trump are OK with me.

Just one question.

If Cruz can’t beat Trump in the Primary, how can he beat Hillary in the General?

Its a reality check to how the GOPe can attempt to deatroy itself with GOPe PAC money because it has reached the levelnof out of touch that you would expect Ann and Mitt Romney to be.

If you actually think that this poll means anything then you might want to look at history

Your analogy is incorrect. That analogy would more aptly apply to Ted Cruz when he finally realizes he has been used

I think that's a little off. He found the cables, but was nowhere near the plunger. He was about to break the cables to save the bridge, when he said "What am I doing?" or to that effect, and as he hesitated he was shot, as ordered by the spy guy, what's his name.

I'm sure of it!

( Ah yes, Jack Hawkins! )

... also, it's THE BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI

... ah yes, I remember it well!

They said Carter was 15 point ahead of Reagan. It is pure propaganda.

Don’t believe the polls ... cause Reagan beat Carter back in 1980, ya know ... and Romney sat out the last month in 2012, because he believed that Republicans were all working during the day when the pollsters called, ya know ...

On the contrary, I would argue you are describing the GOP establishment. Trump is the proverbial shot across the bow.
Beyond the electoral politics is an anger. I''ll prognosticate that if the GOP succeeds in rigging the nomination, a lot of people are going to be surprised a few years from now at the near unanimous agreement in DC at nullifying the 2nd amendment.

Exactly. That was a great movie and Col. Nicholson, while admirable in so many ways, was so obsessed with his success with the bridge, forgot the big picture until it was almost too late.

This odd candidate who has strangely captured so many hearts here is ruining things for us.

He cannot beat Hillary.

Reagan was also getting killed by Carter at this point in 1980. So what!

I dread losing the election to Clinton in a potential landslide with Trump as the nominee, but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I’m also morbidly curious about what the aftermath will be like here. Will Trump supporters finally come to terms with reality or continue to delude themselves?

Utah’s been goofy ever since 2012.

It’s the headquarters of Romney astro-turf.

I think they’re rather proud of themselves since their objective was to destroy the Republican party. Winning was never their purpose.
