they are making an argument for us to vote for Bernie Sanders as a way to punish corporate America for its treasonous behavior.

Sanders would simply increase the cronyism. Yes, he would expect more in taxes, but at the same time, as even more decisions fall to government apparatchiks, so there would be even more rent-seeking and corruption. Sanders would just make the insiders, and politically-connected, richer, while further bankrupting the middle class.

This is the unavoidable nature of socialism everywhere.

My point was that these corporate guys just don’t get the fact that capitalism, which allows them to flourish, has been supported for decades by millions of Conservative voters, who voted that way because the candidates who were upholding capitalism were also upholding traditional values.

The corporatists have now broken the deal. The blue collar union guy and the secretary have little reason to vote for their candidates if they won’t stand up for traditional values.

So let the barbarians storm their gates.
