My point was that trump was getting tons of independent and dem voters. Cruz won’t.

It was a HUGE night for Cruz. He just knocked Trump out of the race. Trump CANNOT get the magic number of delegates now. In an open convention Trump is toast.

So yes it was a HUGE night for Cruz.

GO CRUZ!

Don’t hold back because Jane likes me.

By the way, I noticed on your profile page that you list some things big government has regulated or controlled that are harmful to us and our society. Now while I do agree with your list, I find it quite interesting that you list ethanol as one of those problems.

See, in Iowa the only candidate that wanted to end subsidies to the farmers for ethanol was Ted Cruz.

Now, last year Donald was originally for ethanol subsidies. However, as he considered the views Ted Cruz and other staunch conservatives held, he changed his stand and went against them. Then later in the year another candidate who was against them, changed his view to get the farmers vote in Iowa.

Yup, Ben Carson flipped his stance to all of a sudden become a huge supporter of ethanol subsidies. See, he needed to Iowa to have a chance, and like every Presidential candidate that wants to win Iowa, Carson became the corn farmers great new supporter.

So with Ben Carson now supporting the subsidies for ethanol, he actually overtook Trump in the polls for a week until Trump began viciously attacked him by calling him a pedophile and questioning his Christian faith. Then The Donald did something else that really made a huge difference, he changed his stance again on ethanol by going back to his original stance of supporting the ethanol subsidy.

Well, it wasn’t long before the Trumps attacks by besmirching Carson’s character and faith, along with his flipping back to supporting ethanol subsidies that Trump took the lead in Iowa away from Ben Carson, who was never a factor in the race again.

Now, back to Ted Cruz.

Ted Cruz was the only candidate to stand his ground against the ethanol subsidy. Something he has been against since before he began running for the US Senate. Hell, he is against all subsidies for anything for any reason.

Now while it eventually hurt Cruz with the Iowa farmers, he still won Iowa. Interesting how many try to claim that Trump beat Cruz with the evangelicals in Iowa, but it just happens that those evangelicals in Iowa are also corn farmers that are hooked on the Governments subsidies. See, even good Christians can get addicted to welfare and government handouts. The point, is Ted lost the evangelical vote in Iowa to Trump because of the ethanol subsidy, not their agreement with Trump on faith.

So while you rail on your profile page about ethanol, you support a guy who will continue the subsidies and the government intervention to keep the mandate in place as a payoff to the farmers who backed him. His words, not mine. It really makes sense since trump is a huge backer of government bailouts and subsidies for corporate welfare. He always has been.

Along with being against subsidies for ethanol, Cruz is also against subsidies for Big Oil, Big Steel, or any other corporate welfare. Unlike Trump, Ted believes a business must stand on it’s own or fail.

Also, Trump is a huge Union guy, Trump has already stated he will back the Unions and keep them strong. So get ready for Unions in the private sector to get a boost from Trumps administration should he get elected. He is after all, a huge protectionist. Which is exactly what Unions need to keep the businesses they have driven out of the country to come back.

Should Trump win and get his ways, get ready for small businesses to take a huge hit.

Why else do you think trump attacks the right to work laws? he is a Union guy. I know because I have friends in NY who are huge Union people and that is what they love bout Trump.

Trump is the only candidate that is not Uniparty.

The Uniparty went all in for its Unipatsy, Cruz, in the Wisconsin primary last night. :)

LOL! Was it indeed a HUGE night for the Unipatsy? Or did the Democrats put their thumb on the scale to give the cruzloser a chance to contest at the Republican primary convention?

I think it's beginning to become clear what actually happened last night in Wisconsin if you examine the numbers for the Milwaukee counties. :)

Cruz, and everybody else knows that people need to come together to beat Hillary......and so does the Republican Party. It should not be surprising to any that they’re coming together to support Cruz. ...Kasich is an afterthought the GOP aren’t interested in...it will be Cruz or Trump they support....the rest is just media keeping the viewers engaged.

See my post #1490, and be of good cheer. :)

I read all three of your posts #1490, #1565 & #1573.

Common sense investigation and very good investigative work with the total numbers.

You're right. Stay calm. Trump will prevail.

Nope, never lived there. I live in Ca.

I go around with them over and over again.

I do have brother who is a piece of crap Socialist that still live in Minnesota.

Oh, I love him, but he knows what I think of him and his beliefs.

Just like I have a cousin who is a Democrat that worked for Jim Webb’s campaign when he defeated George Allen back in Virginia. She is OK, but she’s an idiot. Oh, she knows I think that. And I know what she thinks of me.

She is a good FB friend. Many relatives wonder how we can get along. It’s easy, we are honest with each other so she knows what to expect from me and I from her.

Oh, by the way. I work in a small family business that unions have been trying to put out of business for 25 years. They fail because we have low overhead, and our product is better than theirs. LOL

I know people all over this country, from libs to conservatives.

Anyway, my cousin’s father was a fireman who died from the poisons he inhaled when he went into the twin towers on 9/11. He was a huge Union supporter and she was raised to like them. I am working on her, but it’s difficult.

By the way, she hates Hillary and will not vote if Hillary gets the Dem nomination. She has many friends in NY who will not vote for Hillary also.

As for trump, she thinks he is reincarnation of Hitler, but thinks Hillary is in it for the money and thus it’s a wash to her.

She knows I am a Cruz guy, and thinks I am as crazy as I think she and my socialist brother is. neither of them have ever kept a job long enough to know what a business goes through. Interestingly they both live off the government tit.

Anything else you are confused about?

If no candidate earns 1237 delegates, the rules stipulate that during the national convention, the delegates participate in a series of votes. Once one of the candidates exceeds 1237 delegates, that person is our nominee.

No cheating, just the rules. Nobody is considered the nominee until they receive a majority of the delegates.

Ted Cruz is the only candidate that must be nice to big oil being from Texas and all.

Not Cruz is not being nice to big oil.

He promises to cut subsidies to big oil also.

So, who is afraid of going after the establishment? Not Cruz.

Trump is afraid, because he refuses to say he will cut corporate welfare like Ted Cruz will.

No cheating, just the rules.

And the bribes along with variable rules. Who are you kidding? These primaries are designed to make you believe you have a choice on who gets the nod to run. For the first time in my memory we have an outsider who came and kicked over the money grubbers tables and yet the people shout give us Cruz.

Before Wisconsin, Trump did something he had not done before ....instead of doubling down on his statements, after being attacked....he retreated, he backtracked. He showed weakness. And of course he did it on the political litmus test of post 1973 politics, ABORTION.

I'd say Wisconsin is a conservative State. Walker as Gov is proof of that, otherwise they would have gotten rid of him in the three chances they've had.

But more important is that Trump has shown he care very little about 1000 America babies killed every 24 hours ....America can not be great again unless we have the values that made America great in the first place.

Trump's campaign is all about enthusiasm and turnout, with his retreat on abortion, he has lost that.

LOL, the spin seems to be that Trump is happy with his 6 delegates, that must be why he put out that tantrum statement, cause he was so pleased.
