Yesterday on my way home from work the radio station kept playing a news report about some new poll that showed 7 out of 10 people hate Trump. They kept calling it “devastating” to the Trump campaign. Then at the end of the report they sheepishly added that 6 out of 10 people hate Ted Cruz too and then switched subjects. *throws hands up*

If Cruz, the "ideal" conservative, gets the nomination and does not carry the Repulican base and get out more than the typical 25% of the evangelical vote, it will be a cold day in Hades before the conservative movement and evangelicals will get their way again. The conservative base didn't show for Romney because he wasn't a "true" conservative and he was Mormon. He carried the independents and had he carried the base he should have, he would have bumped Obama in spite of his piss-poor debates. GOP no-show's are the reason for their own demise.

Talk about low energy--what about the flatness of GOP leader Reese Peanutbutter in Wisconsin. He really inspires enthusiasm! He couldn't inspire people to get out of their homes to vote even if rats were invading!

This may be conservatism's last chance. If the smartest-man-in-the-room Ted Cruz loses to Hillary, it's over for them and the GOP. And, like Nixon, they won't have Trump to blame for the defeat!
