If the GOPe is successful at taking the nomination from Trump, I can’t imagine another outsider being able to gather sufficient funds to fight the GOPe machine.

I'll bet the corrupt GOPe types are working out ways to imitate the Democrat 'superdelegate' system. No one can get by that machine... Our system had holes in it - the people still had a voice.

Reminds me of the old USSR where the Party chose what communist thug you could vote for... sham elections like we have here now.

Yeah, it does seem like the communist one party systems, where you don’t really get to choose.

And I thought the same thing, that the GOPe is trying to emulate the democrats.

It’s probably been like this for a while and it’s never become obvious till now.

I wonder if a lawsuit would work to fix it? Would the judicial branch be willing to interfere with party rules, given that voters were being disenfranchised?
