Former CO GOP Chair: “The Message We’re Sending Is Your Vote Doesn’t Matter and...

Former Colorado GOP Chair Ryan Call spoke with Laura Ingraham today to explain the delegation-selection process in the state. Call told Ingraham:

“The very time we should be opening up our doors and being more open and transparent, and welcoming people into our Party, we’ve essentially made the decision to close it off and make it more cumbersome and more difficult. And, to prevent the ability of people to have their voice heard in this process. You’re reinforcing all of the very worst stereotypes about the Party and I, frankly, am very concerned about the way voters are going to feel.”

Of course, the Cruz camp and Republican establishment loves this process. They were able to cheat and strong-arm all the delegates away from Trump to Ted Cruz which makes a brokered convention more likely.

It’s the Ted Cruz way.
Real Clear Politics reported:

Former Colorado state Republican party chairman Ryan Call talked to Laura Ingraham today to explain the delegation-selection process works and how it “cuts out any semblance of democracy or the popular will.” Call said the statewide convention that chooses the delegates reinforces all the worst stereotypes of the party.

“The very time we should be opening up our doors and being more open and transparent, and welcoming people into our Party, we’ve essentially made the decision to close it off and make it more cumbersome and more difficult. And, to prevent the ability of people to have their voice heard in this process. You’re reinforcing all of the very worst stereotypes about the Party and I, frankly, am very concerned about the way voters are going to feel,” Call told Ingraham.

The one thing this lil fiasco in Coloraduh has potential for is a Trump steamroller push to the convention with the necessary delegates plus room to spare. Not a prediction—just an observation of what may happen.

“Yes, one could say this is the Republican party exercising the eminent domain option in delegate allocation.”

Can you say how the public good is being served by these actions? Eminent Domain requires that...so perhaps you can tell us how depriving Americans of their right to vote helps the public good?

“so perhaps you can tell us how depriving Americans of their right to vote helps the public good?”

That’s easy. It will make certain that Hillary Clinton will be our next president, which naturally serves the public good. (/sarc)

“I’m not aware that the CO caucus was tainted.”

the colorado caucus process is a sick, ultimate-insider, anti-democratic joke. About half a dozen people show up for each precinct caucus, and “elect” people to attend county assemblies and Congressional district assemblies; the county assemblies “elect” people to the state convention. The CD and State assemblies “elect” then delegates, who are supposedly unbound.

A couple thousand people out of a population of 5 million participate. No one in the state gets to vote in a primary election.

Ted’s being used like rented mule. He was the only one left to use against Trump. Seems he and his followers don’t realize it.

I admire both your phraseology and your thoughts. I agree.
