There is a simpler and totally rational practical solution, and it doesn't slavishly stumble into the private system trap. There, the special interest crony criminal element is inescapable. And it must always fail, human nature being inescapable.
And it is defective regardless of whether it's public or private.

Educating ourselves is not that difficult.
