Actually, he did not advocate single payer. He was in favor of taking care of the poor. Instead of having them come to emergency rooms and then HIDE those costs in OUR bills and the GOVERNMENT’S money, he would just have the government pay for it.
Everyone else with him was ALWAYS private insurance and health care accounts.

Do you seriously believe any president or presidential candidate drafts his own legislation? He gives his ideas to his staff and tells them to come up with something that addresses his points. Funny how most of Trump’s ideas were the GOP line until Trump took them up too.
Obamacare in some form will be with us forever now, bank on it. That ship sailed with the GOPe rolling over in 2008 and 2012. Medicare came along in 65, many said it should go, it is still here. We have to limit the extent of these entitlements not do as the dems want to do add non citizens and illegals to the rolls.

That author said it better than I could, it is accurate, and it shows exactly how the GOPe has hoodwinked many into blasting Trump over what they wanted before Trump wanted them.
He never said single payer, That’s Cuban Propaganda.
Why is it too late? Cruz was for increasing H1B visas 500%,, doubling legal immigration and taking in Syrian refugees until he changed those positions late last year because of the Trump effect. Cruz was all for Obamatrade until he changed that position a couple of weeks ago. Trump’s health care plan has been up longer than either of those changes by Cruz. Why is it too late for Trump to change his mind on stuff but not Calgary Ted?
