Because here it gets tied up - even as much as our society tries to hide it - with holiness. In China it’s still a strictly secular affair.
That's Exactly the Problem; God will not allow any Error (sin) to enter Eternity - it would make eternity - eternally corrupt. Since God's character is pure Holiness he has no option but to burn it up or in the case of eternal objects consign them permanently to be incense to serve Him on in the lake of fire.
Folks do not understand; it only takes one uncovered sin ,before God after death, to consign one to the permanent ash heap. And folks like us have scores of unintentional ones as well as the intentional ones (ones we didn't think of and ones we simply glossed over). This is why the Bible says "All have sinned".
But God sent His only Son to a painful death on a cross to pay for All the Sins (all the errors) of Folks like us who believe that He paid them in full upon His Body. With that true belief (not just knowledge) comes Eternal Security and the promise of Heaven. And heaven is pure joy forever, pure love forever, pure relationships with others like us and with God forever with the stamp of approval permanently upon us "Well done Good and Faithful Servant... Enter in the the Joy of your Master" forever.
"Believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved"
