Cruz has his health insurance through Goldman Sachs and they funded his Senate campaign. They completely control him. He’d be happy to keep his Senate seat and his wife’s job. He will go away quietly at the appropriate time.

I don’t know about Heidi’s gig at GS, but Cruz will be a one-termer in Texas. People are furious that he was a Canadian citizen when we voted for him. If he wants to advance his political career, he should take that SC Justice position someone is waving in front of him. He will NEVER be reelected as our Senator. Not only is he not legally qualified to be our Senator now, but he may not be in 2018 either, depending on the lawsuits in Texas that will be filed and their outcomes.
