"Crushing defeat" = 36 delegates to six.
"Nipping at heels" = A triple-digit number of delegates behind
No mention of Cruz's impending flops in New York and the northeast
Who writes this trash? Do they think omitting details inconvenient to the narrative they're attempting to push changes reality?
If it goes down this way the Trump voters will certainly walk. If the Dems nominate Bernie I could see some of them crossing over to vote for him. At least Bernie opposes TPP.
A few solid win is an 82 delegates should be easy to get
By the same token either Hillary or Bernie would defeat Trump.
Never before has the frontrunner candidate been treated with such contempt. Being the #1 Frontrunner since July means nothing to these contemptible axis of cretins.
Understanding as a Cruz supporter (albeit one voting for the nominee whomever that is) I might be one of those cretins, could you give an honest answer as to why “Never before has the frontrunner candidate been treated with such contempt.”?
If Trump loses to Cruz, it will be because Trump played poker without ever bluffing, played baseball without ever stealing a base, and played politics without courting delegates. Those moves are how the game is played, whether we like it or not. The idea that Trump wasn't screening and recruiting delegates from every district in the country as soon as he saw his campaign was going to do well should concern everyone. The idea that he is still not, as far as we know, courting those delegates appalls me.
If Trump does not win on the first ballot, his only chance on the second ballot is if he courts delegates effectively, and it looks like he's not even trying. If Cruz were not there as the #2 in this race, some establishment RINO would be there, and I would very strongly prefer Cruz (whether or not any of us would want to have a beer with him) over Kasich, Rubio, Jeb, or any of the others who support Amnesty and other liberal positions.
I think Trump is still likely to get a majority of delegates on the first round ballot. I will vote for Trump, and I will be cheering for him to win. However, if he falls short, I will blame Trump. He knew better or should have known better, and it's his fault if he doesn't play the game as well as possible under the rules that we all know are in effect. So far, the only thing Trump is doing well is attracting and exciting primary election voters, and that is not everything he needs to do in the primaries to win.
hey, I’m a cruzer but there’s nothing trumpers could do that would take it further south. Cleveland used to be a great city but once steel left and the city was overrun with feral animals it became lost and that was years and years ago.
Perhaps TDS is abating somewhat. Meeting with Megyn Kelly at Trump Tower. Karl Rove’s PAC coming around to the prospect of a President Trump and wanting to stay relevant.
Today, on Capitol Hill, Trump aide Ed Brookover told Chris Collins, Duncan Hunter and other Trump friendly members of congress that the campaign expects to lock up the nomination with 1265 delegates by June.
Hoping that Cruz’s mathematical elimination will mark a key turning point in making him a less viable candidate in the minds of voters in subsequent states. As a result, vote totals will translate into increased delegate hauls for Mr. Trump, as you suggest.
Rubio said on Levin’s show that he wants a conservative nominee, and that the only conservative left in the race is Cruz.
This “elimination” of which you speak, how many convention ballots is that in effect?
What else can he say? He wants to stop Trump and his options are limited.
He also said his Luke-warm praise of Cruz wasn’t an endorsement.
Yeah, that's right. The media was all over saying Rubio had endorsed Cruz and Marco came right out with a denial.
The Republican Party establishment is willing to throw the election to Hillary as an acceptable price for kneecapping Trump.
Cruder are still trying to make more it than it was.
Cruzers. Spell check.
Cleveland used to be a great city but once steel left and the city was overrun with feral animals it became lost and that was years and years ago.
Sadly that statement can be said about most other American cities
