I assume the APFT (fitness test) was modified, so men and women use the same standards. /s
I was an Armor officer...I really can’t believe this is happening.
The army will act like its working, with no downside...but this is just nuts.
Yeah, I want to see a female tank crew break track. In the mud. In 40F weather.
How will they pee from the tank?
“The army will act like its working, with no downside...”.
The officer corps will act like it’s working, to keep their careers on track.
I very recently talked to an Army combat veteran (Iraq) and he said just training with females in simulated combat/long march conditions was an absolute disaster and will leave other soldiers vulnerable and/or killed. His and some of his fellow soldier’s take on it, though, was that if the women could keep up with them (and there a few that could), and do the same things they did they were fine with it. But all too often the women would buckle under the pressure (getting yelled at) or unable to physically keep up (male soldiers literally carrying them and their rucks).
