The border States are being absolutely screwed by the open borders aspect of globalization. Texas could pull it off but the US government would never allow it.

Its more than just the open borders problem. Look at all the states that had to sue the federal government over Obamacare. Fedzilla is trampling everything in its path and the states are tired of it.
