With both of them in, opposition to Trump is divided, making it easier to get a clear 1237 to prevent any divided convention (and GOPe / Big Media desperately want their divided convention to get rid of Trump)

I think it is a great letter, but I also think post #14 has it right. My gut feeling is that Cruz is playing a smart end game and playing the GOPe as their pretend stooge, knowing that a bona fide RINO like Kasich is their real choice.

There is an opportune time to pull the rug on the GOPe and now is not the time. If Trump gets a majority of delegates on his own (and there is at least a 50-50 chance of that now), Cruz will play a key role in uniting the party at convention time by not showing his hand now.
