Does Kasich have many hundreds of delegates that’ll vote for him on the second ballot?

Possibly so, he got more delegates than Cruz last night.

Because if Kasich wows them at the convention and believes they will vote him in on latter ballots when the rules say they unbind or whatever? If the argument is he is staying in to win it in a contested convention like the rules allow for, why does it matter what ballot the nomination is decided on?

What does being mathematically eliminated in the first ballot have to do with the second ballot?

When you are eliminated you are suppose to drop out.

They did not say “we did it #Cruz.”
They said ‘we did it #neverTrump.”

GOPe #NeverTrump delegates are not Cruz supporters.

At the convention they will be loyal to their party bosses not Cruz = Cruz is not going to win any vote at a contested convention.
