Theres an old saying referenced at times when a person refuses to move based on principle:
At what cost are you willing to win?
cruz and heidiThe essential meaning behind the question is: how far are you willing to go -in the elimination of a coalition- in order to prove your own standing is most righteous? and does the internal sense of victory overcome the desperate isolation at the end of your arguments?
Do the ends justify the means?
Eventually the questions require pause, and eventually lead the recipient to ask themselves to reconsider their motives. Are pride and/or ego the motivators driving the decision? Most people are capable of such introspection; however, some people are not.
With Senator Ted Cruz now mathematically eliminated from winning victory by votes the essence of the original question now applies to the candidate himself, and also to the supporters who have worked earnestly to affirm the candidates ideological platform.

You got it exactly. Couldn’t say it better!
They are greedy.
They are greedy.

It is much worse than greed. Evil comes to mind.
Cruz might live to fight another day but since there are only two parties, demodummie and republican, the GOPe won’t want him on their ticket.
AS I predicted the “suggestions” that Ted should exit the race will start very soon. Looks like Sundance is about there. This will spread rapidly as Trump takes the next 5-6 primaries in a row.
If Cruz does not exit soon he will become so hated and vilified by the voters his political career will be over.
Gingrich said a few days ago Trump would have the delegates even before California.
Hillary is so target rich that when Trump starts firing at her she will be reduced to confetti.
Yes all this hype about a contested convention is a bunch of BS the news channels use to hype up their ratings. Trump will more than likely exceed 1237 by June 7th.
Cruz is going to start hearing the calls for him to GTFO very soon. If he does not gracefully exit he will be hounded out. He’s not going to be allowed to walk into Cleveland and burn the place down. Its simply not going to happen.
As opposed to Trump being so target rich that he fires at himself with regularity.
In this video, I don't think Trump knew of Hillary's arf arfing. He looks surprised..

Then Trump's people made an ad:

Well, if that’s the case, why can’t the brilliant Constitutional Conservative beat Trump?
And Cruz is not now, and never has been, eligible to run. Recent reporting on his mother’s possible sketchy and multiple citizenship issues just add to the confusion. And all the mother’s relevant records are sealed, as are Ted Cruz’ records. And his Cuban father’s background is sleazy, and Cruz, Sr. is photographed in a group with Lee Harvey Oswald, which hints to me of CIA manipulation and being a “front man” for a CIA operation. Nor will I ever vote for Cruz and give a voice to his wife, North American Union devotee Heidi Cruz. Ugh!
Or perhaps I should put it a little more simply:
Ted Cruz has let his ambition overpower any love for the country and Constitution.
If he was a real Constitutionalist, his greatest contribution would have been getting up in front of the cameras and explaining why he, the current usurper and Rubio, are not eligible.
His ambition is so outsized he will not quit until he has destroyed the GOP with a contested convention.
Small potatoes when compared to negating the protections of Art II. Sec.1
In other words, abandon conservatism in favor of populism...or else.
I’ll pass for now. No one is the nominee yet.
You pull up to a stop sign and stop. You have the right of way so you pull away from the stop sign and get t-boned in the side and killed by a vehicle that ran a stop sign and didn't have the right of way.
My instructor would say that you won a pyrrhic victory by being in the "right" but you were "dead right".
Whenever the light turns green at an intersection, I always check to see the cars are stopping at their red lights. I never assume that.
