Is Donald Trump A Modern-Day George Wallace? [he's living inside their brains alert!]
NPR ^ | 4/22/16 | Debbie Elliott

Donald Trump's enduring appeal in the Republican presidential contest has the GOP in a quandary, as it's forced to contend with voters fed up with party politics.

Some 50 years ago, another vociferous candidate put the scare in traditional power brokers. George Wallace fired up crowds with a similar anti-establishment message, and drew protests as passionate as are being seen at Trump's rallies today. Wallace also became a face of racial tension in America as the leading symbol for segregation in the 1960s.

When Wallace entered presidential politics in 1964, the then-Alabama governor was famous for declaring, "Segregation now. Segregation tomorrow. And segregation forever."

Wallace allies and family see parallels today in Trump.

"It's just a replay," Charlie Snider, one of Wallace's most trusted political aides, told NPR. "We're looking at a modern-day George Wallace."

The Donald is living inside their brains (of course, their brains are so tiny that there plenty of spare room for a Trump-sized condo between the average journalist's ears)

Better title would be: “Is NPR really just a taxpayer funded arm of the fringe left?”

Wallace also became a face of racial tension in America as the leading symbol for segregation in the 1960s.

And who created that image? Research Wallace and you'll find that he just went through the motions for the sake of a campaign pledge. His heart really wasn't in it.

Cruz sold out to the GOPe, but he doesn’t realize that they are just using him and he’ll get nothing in the end.

GOPe is in bed with the Democrats for a Hillary presidency.

George Wallace carried 5 states and won 46 electoral votes as a third-party candidate in 1968. In the 1972 election, he ran as a Democrat and was a leading contender, which was intolerable for the Establishment. So a mysteriously funded Lone Nut shot him five times.

So, NPR considers a key Wallace aide as a credible source?

There is no principle at work on the left - only tactics.

Despite his earlier racial positions (which Wallace later disavowed to his credit), he was a prophet ahead of his time when he said "there is not a dime's worth of difference between the Democrat and the Republican Parties!"

His words were right then, and still right today.

Wallace remains the ONLY modern third party candidate to carry 5 states in the Deep South in 1968 when he ran on the American Independent Party ticket, with no less than retired Air Force General Curtis E. LeMay as his Vice Presidential running mate.

They would have made a superb team in the White House, make no mistake about that. Like Trump, Wallace was an American Nationalist, seeking to place the interests of the U.S. first.

Wallace ran for the Democrat nomination in '72 and in my personal opinion, he rattled so many cages that his assassination was ordered and they nearly succeeded. His campaign slogan that year was "Send Them A Message" and it would appear that the message was received and they sent one back via that scum bag Arthur Bremer (who recently croaked).

Actually, this election has substantial parallels to 1968. Race riots and riots at the convention. Corrupt, old establishment dem (LBJ, HRC). Far left contender (McCarthy/Sanders). Kind of unlikable R front runner (Nixon/Cruz). Blue collar/dixiecrat self-styled anti-establishment hero (George Wallace/Trump). Waiting in the wings for the corrupt old dem to crash (Humphrey/Biden).

Most people don’t remember Wallace got about 50 electoral votes.

Hillary is much more a modern day George Wallace! Observe: they are both Democrats!!

NPR got it screwed up.

And some Democrat hack from the 1960s just got a new deposit to his bank account in the Cayman Islands to drag Trump’s name down into the racist Democrat mud.
