Moms will take young children of either gender into the bathroom in order to safeguard them as well as keeping them from making a mess. Fathers OTOH send their tiny little daughters into the ladies room alone, I’ve seen it many times.
Maybe a solution for dads would be to stop at a restaurant or some such place with a single stall bathroom before going to Target.
The solution until the cultures cancer is defeated will be numerous individual uni-sex individual bathrooms..... Short term will be security guards inside to prevent the perverts doing pervert stuff to others....
When my daughter was little, i.e. still needed help in the bathroom, I took her a lot of places by myself. I would get a waitress or female manager to stand outside the men’s bathroom (after I verified it was empty) and prevent anyone entering while I took her in to go potty. They were always nice about it and eager to assist.
I told my wife that’s when I realized little kids are chick magnets. If I had been single I could have gotten a date everywhere we went.
Not me. I'm a grandpa now. My granddaughters are three and six years old. When they do adult things with me, which is often, and they need to use a restroom I take them into a men's room and into the largest stall available.

This is not an issue of logistics but one of principles.
Your idea not a solution it is avoidance and tantamount to appeasement. It does not solve the problem but instead skirts it so that it must be confronted later in a much larger higher stakes fashion.
These psychos will eventually demand and require that you use the restroom with them. Just as NAMBLA wishes to lower the age of consent so as to have a larger and cleaner supply.
