Life Behind the Tortilla Curtain

Those who live close to the Mexican border in Arizona and New Mexico consistently express two sentiments. First, the number of illegals crossing the line has plunged from a flood to a trickle in most places. The feds and the political spinners love that because it allows them to say, with some truth, that the border is as secure as it's ever been.

But they leave out the second part. The worst of the worst, the drug smugglers, vagabond bad guys, and mulitiple deports who use the border as a turnstyle are still out there, as dangerous as ever, as plentiful as ever, if not more so.

Two kidnappings in six months late last year highlight the point.

The first took place in southwest New Mexico's boot heel on December 7, 2015. A worker for Elbrock Water Systems was working on the remote Gray Ranch when stranded drug smugglers commandeered his truck, loaded it with drugs and drove to Willcox, Arizona. They set the worker free there with a warning not to go to authorities. He did anyway and the FBI is investigating.

Shhhhhhh. "Their" investigation into these occurrences indicate that these claims are exaggerated. Of course those that live in the southwest know better but are probably just a bunch of bible totin', gun lovin', racis' liars. Right?

An area being prepared for a possible future massive wall.

I don't believe it.

The EPA&Co will see to it that there’ll never be any wall erected on the border. They can tie it up in the lib-owned courts for decades.

If the “EPA and CO” is not disbanded first.

May look to Israel for ideas.

That’s exactly what it’ll take. Otherwise, Trump won’t get any wall built. No one will. Ever.

The first paragraph is a lie, the cross border traffic is still coming in large numbers. The difference is most are seeking out Border Patrol to “check in” as I call it since most are not held for deportation or anything like that now. BP is hauling them out of here in bus loads. What that means is those that are still skulking around down hiding from BP here are the real criminal element. Never heard this area called the Tortilla curtain before, I think they made that up.

Here are videos of the meeting held in Animas:

I hope you don’t believe it- it is a lie. We have a steady stream. Most are now gathered up by BP and hauled out in buses for their special treatment. They know we are not enforcing or deporting most so they turn themselves in to BP at or near the border.

The ones hiking around hiding from LEO and BP now are few but they are the worst of the criminal element. Smugglers and people with violent records in Mexico/U.S. or both.

I just hope it accomplishes something. We have had lots of meetings over the years. Usually not many results.

This is the same area where rancher Rob Krentz was murdered a few years ago. No one has been charged with his murder. His murderer was tracked back across the border and there were indications of the identity of the murderer. Border Patrol agents have told me they basically know of the illegal that murdered Rob Krentz but he has not been located for questioning.
