Are you new to politics? This goes on a lot (2008 and Huckabee anyone?). You're just paying attention now that your guy is not benefiting from it.

As with many things wrong with this primary. This is unprecedented so they probably don’t have rules on such a thing. I would imagine the party never though candidates would be this stupid. Many new rules will be implemented in 2020. If nothing else, trump will make the primary more fair and smooth for future candidates.
