Relatives of Corey Jones, the 31-year-old stranded motorists killed by a Palm Beach Gardens police officer last year, were cautiously hopeful Wednesday after meeting with Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg Wednesday on the heels of his announcement that prosecutors are bringing the case to a grand jury.
Family members and their attorney, Benjamin Crump, are expected to address the public in an 8 a.m. press conference Thursday.

Corey Jones had a gun--something rarely mentioned in the media. The "unarmed black man" meme cannot be used.
Some folks just can’t abide by the rules of society.
Previously they were weeded out.
Now they sue, and my tax dollars reward their misbehavior.
Our society needs a reset.
He also had a permit for it. How did this shooting take place? The part that bothers me is that the officer was not in uniform and was not driving a marked police vehicle. From what little I know about it, I have to wonder if Jones knew the guy was a police officer.
True enough. We just don’t know. But the media and the attorney for the family of George Zimmerman’s attacker has already convicted him.
