PHOENIX — Texas Sen. Ted Cruz pulled out a strategic victory at the Arizona Republican Party convention, nailing down a large majority of delegates to the national convention amid cheating accusations from backers of businessman Donald Trump.

The Cruz slate won virtually all of the 28 at-large national delegates and roughly split the 27 delegates selected by congressional district.

These local party elitists haven’t a clue what they are up against when they pull crap like this. Trump has at least a 10 million instant reach on twitter and facebook, in minutes he can reach twice that. Plus he goes on every media show he can and has multiples more press conferences than any other candidate.

He blows this kind of stuff up. It’s like handing a nuclear bomb to your enemy. Trump WILL use it.

When a sitting Governor in a state is snubbed by her own state party apparatus there’s something fishy. Either she is hated by her own or someone higher in the food chain is pulling the strings. And Ted Cruz isn’t higher in the food chain.

The long time Republican operatives know how the system works and want Cruz. They just work the system correctly.

The Trump supporters tend to be new and blow it.

But God may be with us.

A first ballot win is possible.

TO All FUTURE TRUMP.SUPPORTERS IN UPCOMING STATE CONVENTIONS/PRIMARIES UNDERSTAND THE RULES AND THE SYSTEM. AND HANG TOGETHER

And the chicanery goes on and on. This may not be simply be the fault of Ted Cruz, as it appears to be done not so much for the benefit of Cruz, so much as it is to try to ditch The Donald.

The Republican Establishment is as dead set against Cruz as they are against The Donald. Once the machinery is set in motion to deny The Donald the nomination, it shall also be used to deny Cruz any shot either.

Rubio or Kasich may be the favored one, if the convention can be forced to multiple ballots.

The Republican delegates have a choice - either go along with the scheme, or blow the whistle right now.

Cruzlim tactics reflect Sultan Ted. He’s a hateable prick and I guess his followers go for it. This even happened in NH yesterday, but for Bush/Kasich. These Lincoln Day dinner types are fighting so hard for a losing proposition when a winning one is so apparent. They probs like being big wheels in a losing cause rather than have a winning cause.

Fair enough, then current Governor went out of his way to snub her or the national party did.

She is the former governor. She was hard line to secure the border and deport illegals. In Arizona there is strong support for both secure borders and open borders. She was a popular governor but had strong opposition as well.

The GOPe has the establishment in complete control and these communists liberal opportunists will force many of the delegates to select Cruz. As Trump says, the system is rigged by the elite corrupt.

I also am of the opinion that Trump’s campaign manager for Arizona/Nevada is not aggressive and hands on enough and/or knowledgeable enough to build a working coaltion

His speech at the Arizona Convention on Saturday was mostly about electing a Republican in the General and building the party. It left me with the impression he was young and ambitious
Period.

So even if Trump gets the nomination, he may have a lot of re-organizing to do for the General.

Perhaps some other Arizonan can put my concerns at rest.
