I simply cannot believe that anything close to a majority of people in London are Islamic.
This guy apparently got 57% of the vote. The people there seem willing to vote such a person in and risk all in order to try and look “inclusive” and “politically correct.”

Very likely. I always said I'd vote for the Republican nominee even if it was Bush, whom I consider barely better than Hillary. But Bush might at least slow the rate of decline compared to what Hillary would do.

While that is generally true, it does not apply here. The headline seems to be misleading on purpose. The guy was attending some merchant marine school, NOT the Royal Navy. It's in the article, but one would have to read it carefully to catch it.
