The latter part of Bill Clinton's administration were good years, because Republicans were in control of both the House and Senate.
Rather than fight with Congress, Bill became the conservative Democrat that he purported to be, and worked with them. Bill was also somewhat neutered by his impeachment proceedings.
It was also a bubble economy, created by this newfangled thing called the Internet. The bubble burst in 2000, but the problems weren't really apparent until second "whammy" of 9/11 in 2001.
Hillary Clinton is NOT Bill Clinton -- ideologically, she is much closer to Obama than she is to Bill. And, she has about as much executive experience as Obama had in 2008... that worked out so well, we should do it again.
