This is typical of university faculty. I taught university-level economics for almost 40 years and was a conservative voice in the faculty. I used to have frequent policy debates with one very liberal sociology prof. I would paint her into a logical corner from which (I thought) there was no escape. We'd get to that point and she would look at me and say: "That may be, but I don't believe it!" and she would stomp out of my office. My experience is that liberals have no logical reason for their belief system, other than it's "unfair" for one person to have more than another. Having a cogent discussion with them is like trying to reason with a squirrel...just not going to happen.

To end any discussions and discombobulate liberals, just ask questions about their ideas. Lots of questions.
They have zero logical and/or coherent answers. Liberals do not know how to get off the script that has been pounded into their heads. You may get no answer, or a one sentence answer. They will get frustrated like the female professor in the story.
Try this question technique. You will have alot of fun with it.
