Let’s see how Trump does once the media starts attacking him.

If WaPo has Trump at 46, he’s most likely above 50 right now.

Heh heh.

I've never in my life seen the Republican ahead of the Democrat at any point other than a few days before election day. And that situation is only announced after the election, the MSM keeps it a state secret "so that it won't affect the outcome."

At least, this is the case in turn-over races.

I think it was pretty clear Reagan was going to win in 1984, although (IIRC) the MSM had him neck-and-neck with Mondull until the last few weeks. They had him losing to Mondull through most of the campaign, during which they pounded Reagan nonstop 24-7 even though ordinary people liked him very much.

Unlike Mitt, Trump is taking the election to all the states. He is NOT writing off states like CA, NY, NJ and PA.

It's obvious in hindsight that Romney never took the election seriously, never made a serious effort to win. He was simply the designated loser.

“He’s even leading with registered voters in the WP and Fox polls.”

That kind of shocked me too! I guess Rasmussen is probably the most accurate snapshot right now. We have a LONG way to go though (long way up that is :-) ... I want to see her embarrassed and shamed ... and I want to see each and every liberal in a stone cold panic after Election Day once they realize that the late 1960s are finally over).

Even Rove said the NRA endorsement was a big deal.
Laughed at the painful expression on his face when he admitted it !

I guess this is a signal that WaPo needs to add 20 ADDITIONAL “reporters” to “investigate” Donald Trump.

I just imagine ole Crusty is having a meltdown already. Afrer all, while she’s got “the fix in” on Sanders (unlike the 2007 election with Obola), she sees the snowball of “$hit” on her has already “crested the hill” and is gathering momentum ( and more $hit) as it starts it’s downward plunge! I just can’t wait to see her “pop” publically when it really becomes obvious to her that again she’s going to loose. Hoping that the defeat causes her physical demise (for Slick too).

Yeah, have you noticed how lately Rove looks like he’s just hoovered a turd when he’s “lecturing us all” on Fox with his whiteboard? He probably knows he’s done as a “fox news contributor” after this election.

Trump has blown up the conventional way of doing presidential campaigns. That means that consultants like Rove are now useless.

To that point, I found this Mitt Romney rally from June 12, 2012 in Dubuque, Iowa. I use the term "rally" loosely. It was maybe 100-200 people on a riverboat and half of them appeared to be journalists covering the event.

The video I linked to is only a half hour but it's painful to watch in its entirety. Mitt himself only speaks for 10-15 minutes and he's totally flat and lifeless. Before he is introduced, he's sort of hanging in the backstage area nervously wringing his hands and probably hoping to just get this over with already.

By contrast, Trump absolutely electrifies any room he enters and he truly connects with the audience, usually for 45-75 minutes and still leaves the crowd wishing it was longer.

Totally different election this time around.

Interesting - kind of proves the point that the GOPe sent McStain and Mittens up there to present the chin to Obama. Trump isn't being sent in there by the GOPe, reach around the aisle crowd to lose to "she who's turn it is"

The Trump Train’s on its way,
Deport illegals all day long!
For wherever you go, you will always know,
That the Trump Train keeps rolling along!

The old men who run the Republican party decided that beating Obama would result in more damage to their little club than would letting him win, regardless of the amount of damage he does to the country.

That’s the only possible conclusion, at least that I can see.

The members of the GOP have figured out how to get personally rich as the opposition party. Being out front, in the leadership position, actually represents a pay cut, and an increased amount of work and stress for them. It’s not worth it! It’s not worth winning, by their way of thinking!

More stupid, low-energy politicians.

And don’t get me wrong. I’m not a big Trump rah-rah. I think he says a lot of good things, but talk is cheap.

I expect to be bitterly disappointed by him when he is President.

Although I probably won’t have time to be disappointed in him because all hell is probably going to break loose in geopolitics right after he takes office. I won’t be surprised if a nuclear war breaks out somewhere during his first year. I think Obama has set this up to happen.

Trump is applying the 48 Laws of Power, “Seem Dumber than your Mark” in full effect. He keeps setting traps, and Hillary and the GOPe keep jumping into them.
