Any candidate foolish enough to promise to end social security is a candidate who will never see the white house. How many times does that have to be proven?

but the retirement age has to be raised.
It was a bad concept but its here and many have paid into it their whole working lives.
People living into their nineties regularly wasn’t considered back then either
For example, my parents both worked all their lives, teen years to after 65, and both died within a year and a half of retirement.
Their "pay-in" just evaporated into the system, rather than it being part of their estates.
I would rather see Welfare cut and the deadbeats put to work before they take a hatchet to SS for people that worked and were forced to pay into the system for their entire working careers. I understand that something needs to be done but do it to the Welfare deadbeats first.
