To: Caipirabob

I really wonder what will happen if the H1B abuse is shut down. A lot of multinationals have their own low-cost offshore divisions and employees. They will just transfer jobs there. From what I’ve seen, good luck with that.

The truth is that there actually exists resources in other countries that may be better than is available here. The problem is that the greedy bastards killed their own golden goose by abusing the system.

As I understand it, there are limitations to the H1B visa program that are abused yet not enforced. I wouldn't send all of them back, but I would strictly enforce the law and restrictions. We need to get American citizens employed, the residual cost of unemployment is killing our nation.

OTOH, we are having trouble filling some positions for cutting edge technologies. There is a problem there, but the abuse of the H1B system is well known and needs to be shut down.

Also I work with outsourced teams, let me tell you, it is exceptionally well paid babysitting and you end up getting caught up in details you should not have to with an experienced, competent worker. It has taken away from the mission, not contributed to it.
