Man who Donald Trump called "my African-American" speaks out

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump made headlines Friday when, with a racially charged exclamation, the candidate singled out an African-American man at a campaign rally in Redding, California.

"Oh, look at my African-American over here!" Trump had said, interrupting his own winding speech to direct his supporters' attention to a man in the crowd. "Look at him. Are you the greatest? You know what I'm talking about, OK?"

But the man called out by Trump -- Gregory Cheadle, a Republican candidate in California's first congressional district -- didn't seem to mind the attention.

"I never, ever sensed any racism on his part," Cheadle told CBS News in a phone interview Saturday. "Looking at it now, I can see on a script -- in a transcript, or even somebody watching the clip -- I can see how they would jump to the conclusion that it was racist. But I never felt anything at all."

Instead, Cheadle took it as a flattering remark.

"It's a compliment to me," said Cheadle, who briefly met Trump when the billionaire waded into the crowd after the event.

Their exchange, reported by the Redding Searchlight, happened after Cheadle had called out, "Uncle Donald, Uncle Donald." Cheadle told the local news outlet that Trump "recognized me as the guy he had called out" and they chatted briefly about job creation.

Cheadle said Saturday that the attention Trump paid him seemed more like a recognition "that my work is paying off, that we as a black people can achieve things."

And he further laughed off the Internet uproar regarding Trump's "my African-American" phrasing: "We are a super-sensitive people now when it comes to race," he said. "I mean, super sensitive. And we're so ready to pull that racist trigger and sometimes unnecessarily so."

His Positive attitude towards Mr. Trump will only earn him scorn. and the label “Uncle Tom”. from the left.

I’m somewhat surprised that the MSM actually published this.

For context and just preceding this remark, it would be nice if the media would recall and report that TRUMP had just said that he had lots of Africa American fans.

Immediately he spots George, he points to him and says “ there is one of my African Americans, right over there”.

TRUMP speaks in short cuts all the blessed time, and the media pounces.

That black guy is now hated by the Left more than Mr. Trump.
The Left is supposed to own everyone, especially black people.
Blacks are virtually government property.

Trump said it was 104 and a lot of people fainted it sounded like although the camera always stayed on Trump.

Hiw sign on the podium gradually started slipping down on the right side, finally hung straight down, then fell off completely. It was a little distracting, and I wished somebody could have fixed it but if anybody tried to get on the stage, there would be a problem.

I marvelled at how Trump, although probably coming out of a cool plane, never seemed to break a sweat in his suit with jacket, shirt and tie. His SS detail all had hot suits on, too. I felt bad for them and then thought of what our troops in Iraq and other hot places had to endure in the blistering heat.

The speech really kept my attention but it was more of a pep rally than a serious speech. The crowd seemed happy with it. Trump said Hillary had small audiences and said they were queued when to laugh and clap, etc.

Lemme see.

If Trump had referred to him “my AA friend”, it would have been racist, because only white folk have to specify AA friend.

If he had referred to him “my friend”, he would have been vilified for not noting that the man is an “AA”.

If he had referred to him as “my associate” see above.

No matter HOW Mr. Trump referred to ANY black man supporting his campaign, Trump was going to be excoriated and demonized by the press.

Pray the rest of America opens their eyes.

Follow the embeds covering Trump on the campaign trail on Twitter. I would say the vast majority of them hate him (they don’t even try to hide it really) and deliberately take cuts of what he says and spin them or take them out of context to make him seem worse than he is. Then their liberal followers or Cruzbots come on and act all self righteous and offended. They retweet each other, and they tweet out articles about Trump, usually negative, from NYT and Washington Post who do hit pieces all day every day, and to a lesser extent Politico, CNN, NBC, Huffington Post, and the Wall Street Journal. Occasionally there are others, but those seem to be the sites of choice. You never see anything from the Washington Times or New York Post, both papers more favorable to Trump. I need to track down the embeds covering Hillary to see if they do the same. I did find one, and she wasn’t.

I know one of the reporters covering Trump posted a picture of his podium at one rally in Cali which had an air conditioner in it to blow cool air on him to keep him cool.

Assuming Trumpian genius at work, could this not be a dig at that comedian calling Obama “my N”? Trump comes out looking better than he does.

What does that even mean? I might be missing something here, but that last statement makes NO sense to me. Please explain.

How am I unclear? I’m saying the reporters who follow Trump will Tweet out articles about him, but they usually only Tweet out articles from left leaning publications like the New York Times or Washington Post. I also see Politico, Huff Post, Wall Street Journal, CNN, and some others. Many of the articles tweeted out are negative, in part I’m sure because the sources used are frequently negative on Trump. There are publications that are more right leaning like the NY Post or Washington Times, but articles from those publications are (I don’t want to say never in case I missed something) rarely tweeted out. I’ve never seen them anyway.

There are also embeds covering Hillary Clinton. I looked over the Twitter feed of an embed covering her for CBS, and I didn’t see negative articles being Tweeted out about Hillary like I see from Trump embeds. In fact, her Tweets about Hillary seemed favorable, and I didn’t get the impression she didn’t like her. I want to track down other embeds covering Hillary on Twitter to basically confirm what I already believe, that the embeds following her probably like her and are more favorable to her.

Make sense?

They would just LOVE to find any incident where they could claim Trump is a racist. Doesn’t matter though if they dig up anything or not because they’re just going to make something up and run with it anyway.

The media are such scumbags.

Well you certainly don't have very much research to do to find out that the press ALWAYS ALWAYS favor the democrats and always trashes the republicans.
