Clinton tweeted, “As we begin Ramadan, I wish all Muslims a blessed time of reflection, family, and good health. Ramadan Mubarak. –H.” Many readers, at first glance, might not have even caught the first-person plural pronoun she used. The former secretary of state and current Democratic presidential candidate used the pronoun “we.”

Twitter followers instantly took notice.

One quickly responded with a photo of the Clintons with the late Palestinian Liberation Organization leader Yasir Arafat, with Hillary and daughter Chelsea wearing Muslim head coverings.
