Yep, it has changed the narrative of the election because it focuses the narrative on the immigration of people that have NO qualms about killing anyone that doesn't agree with their points of view--a view explicitly stated in their religious beliefs. It's making us relive the horrors of the 9/11 terrorist attacks all over again.
