Michael Moore got shut down by a gun expert when he made a false statement about the ammunition Omar Mateen used when he opened fire on an Orlando gay club early Sunday morning.
In several tweets Tuesday, the 62-year-old filmmaker said the ammunition used for AR-15s has been banned by the Geneva Convention because it "enters the body, spins & explodes." Moore said that if photos of the crime scene in Orlando were released, the NRA would be "over."

Moore also called for the removal of all members of Congress who have not supported a bill to ban assault weapons by Friday.
Any member of Congress who hasn't announced support for a bill to ban all assault weapons by Friday should be removed from Congress.

The .223 Remington/5.56 was designed to `tumble’ but you would have to be a huge, stupid tub of goo to say it “explodes”.
The later M885 5.56 round was meant to penetrate body armor, containing ten grains of steel penetrator. Rangers in Mogadishu said they would shoot skinnies, but they kept on coming—no `tumbling’: it went right through.
And many of them were hopped up from chewing khat, a stimulant. The effect for them was supposed to be like getting stabbed with a knitting needle.
In sum, Michael Moore is an obese, flatulent gas bag.

The man must live in a social bubble where nobody has any military experience. What an idiot. Everybody in the fricken army has to qualify with the M16, and I am guessing its similar in other branches, meaning a sizable chunk of our socieity are very familiar with the weapon and could have set this idiot straight, if he had bothered to check with someone who knows anything about what he is spouting off about.

You are not advancing the argument. The differences between an AR-15 and the Sig carbine are interesting and important to gun enthusiasts, but are beyond the ability for the average citizen to grasp. The key point is that neither are an assault rifle which by definition are an automatic weapon, and these cannot be converted legally and not by anyone but a very skilled gunsmith. Attack the lies of the left rather than making a silly argument.
This isn’t about knowledge. Much of modern liberalism is the mental equivalent of a certain foreign email scam. The subject matter is dumbed down to the point that only those who are vulnerable to the idiocy will fall for it.

The point is, knowledge and the truth are irrelevant. Just package up the lies in pseudo-intellectual claptrap designed to bamboozle the desired percentage of the masses who are vulnerable to it.

Get rid of all members of Congress. It may hurt a little bit but overall it would be a good thing.
