GOP Senate Debates Gun Control Instead of Real Measures to Fight Terrorism
Daily Signal ^ | 6/21/2016 | Genevieve Wood

In the aftermath of the terrorist attack in Orlando—the largest in the United States since 9/11—lawmakers on Capitol Hill have yet to introduce one piece of legislation that would actually fight terrorism. Not one.

Instead, the Republican-controlled Senate has not only allowed Democrats to define the debate and make this an issue about gun control, but they’ve joined the tour de farce.

That President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats once again called for more gun control in the wake of the tragedy is no surprise. It’s completely predictable.

Yep. Islamofacists aren’t the problem...we the victims are. There has long ceased to be any real political discourse in this country. That avenue is long dead. Buy ‘em now, stock up, and lock ‘n load. Get ready.

I have long expected at some point, terrorists would start using guns here instead of bombs, as their main weapons, and that eventually Republicans would turn on gun rights, using “security” as an excuse.

Probably the same douchebags who are pro-Patriot Act, pro-NDAA 2012, etc.

Maybe this won’t be the shooting where the Republicans show their true colors, but eventually.

The Establishment types spend all their time, attention and energy on raising money, and toadying to their corporate overlords.

Their staff hand them red meat phrases to utter, which they don’t care about, or in most cases even understand.

This has been reduced to kabuki theater on both sides.

Really! Mel Brooks fashion. The folks are pissed, as Oriley said recently, like he had never seen. So the Senate responds with some harrumph Kabuki theatre and wastes time on optics. What a farce.

Insanity, 0dungo lashes out at R’s and guns but not the mudslimes!

That plus the redaction of 911 tapes is proof the admin is either mudslime or directed by mudslimes.

What more do the American idiot voters need for proof?

I am sure that some, even some Freepers are actually shocked to find the GOP really is a major part of the problem.

We have had many that would and could have started us back toward a Republic, but they have all been rejected. Starting with Barry Goldwater.
Trump, the non-Republican Republican is maybe our last and best hope for saving the Republic.

These jackasses in Washington do not have the common sense they were born with. Muslims invading the country, illegal trespassers invading the country, feral fatherless youth rampaging on the streets of our cities and they are worried about some 300 million inanimate objects in this country. Inanimate objects by definition need an operator and most of them are comprised of the above mentioned.

Dumb asses all!

The gigantic problem, here, is that 99.9% of the “tools” given to government to “fight terrorism”, aren’t being used to fight terrorism. They are almost exclusively used to both micromanage and deprive Americans of their rights.

The American public believes correctly that the vast majority of terrorism in the world is *not* in the United States. So the vast majority of anti-terror response *also* needs to be against terrorists in foreign lands. And certainly, we have *zero* need to invite terrorists to come to the United States to live. And by this we mean “Muslims”. They contribute little or nothing. They ghettoize. And they demand that *we* change to accommodate *them*.

Our elected government seems to be confused on these issues. When there is a terrorist attack against Americans, senators like John McCain and Lindsay Graham immediately respond by demanding more government power over Americans.

Other parts of our government cringe at the idea that Muslims are responsible for the vast, overwhelming majority of terror attacks in the world, so imagine nonsensical threats from non-Muslim groups as their prime focus.

Our Intelligence community of 17 agencies, and our federal police agencies, numbering over 100, don’t get enough information about foreign terrorist organizations to justify their bloated budgets. So instead they prey on Americans, collecting vast reservoirs of useless and petty trivia that will never be used for anything.

RINOs do as RINOs always have done.

Dhimmocrat lite, or simply sub-vassals to our Jihadi “leaders” in Washingstan.

Happy Rama-dan ‘yall.

Just wave a shiny object in front of the GOP Senate and you lead them anywhere
