LOL how ridiculous are these spoiled children gonna get?
Ping for your interest. :)
Dozens and dozens of crap articles in the news today due to liberal hand-wringing.
this is the stupidest I have seen today
They don’t even know what they’re talking about. Maybe they all should give Mark Stein a call - he’ll set them straight.
Well I felt poorer with their bloody 17.5% VAT and other numerous taxes when I lived there.
The economy taking a short-term hit is worth it.
Time for us all to make a trip to the UK.
.
“American tourists in London dazed, feeling wealthier after Brexit...Obama takes credit.”
That’s tomorrow’s headline. (-;
If they can afford to tourist in New York you know they’re upper crust liberals.
There’s this place, it’s called Norway. It’s in Europe, just not the EU. It’s doing quite well, really, you should check it out :)
For years I felt broke in the UK, what with a rate of almost $2-1.
Had the good fortune to take a trip to Canada, at a time of very favorable exchange rates.
Hotel and nice meals were downright reasonable. Great values.
Now those favorable rates are back, and this time for the UK as well.
They weren’t exactly living in a vacuum just because they were on holiday in New York City. They could see the volatility in exchange rates just as easily as anyone else. A more proactive sort could have paid the hotel bill in advance, converted some currency to pay for activities and meals to avoid taking a big hit on exchange rates. Instead, they’re acting as if they’re purely at the mercy of events totally outside their control.
How could the Leave vote possibly win? We don’t know anyone who voted for it.
They could have just exchanged their pounds for dollars beforehand for their trip. Just saying.
Tourists in New York? That doesn’t make sense.
While I have some sympathy for them, I do not have much regard for their intelligence.
On Thursday, preceding the results, their Pound Sterling note went for an exchange rate that ended the day at $1.49, the highest it had been since December of 2015. Given the close call of the referendum, I’d had gone out and done my best to exchange the max.
Smart travelers budget their money on an estimate of the exchange rate and that Pound Sterling had been around $1.42 just 10 days earlier, so they should have been happy to grab a windfall. Now they are on the other side, so sad, too bad!
Mr. Rowland, today you are a free man in waiting. Quit whining! I urge you to man up and work to make Brittan great again. The world would be a far far better place if the sun never set on the Brittish Empire. And I for one look forward to the re-establishment of The Brittish Empire.
11% loss of value? Then, get out of expensive NYC. Idiots.
