India’s nationalists should learn how to behave themselves: China media on international affairs

Global Times, a national English-language daily in China, Tuesday published a strongly-worded editorial defending China’s position on the entry of India and other non-NPT countries into the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG).

Launching a harsh attack on Indian public and the country’s media, the editorial called India a ‘spoiled’ and ‘smug’ nation especially in international affairs.

becoming a member of the NSG and brushed away accusation that it tried to block India’s entry.

...Global Times, that publishes in both English and Chinese, is considered a media house with far-left leanings and a nationalist bias. It also has often echoed the views and opinions of the ruling Communist Party of China.

The editorial also had strong words for the US, which it said ‘was not the whole world’, and accused it of ‘cozying up to India’ with the aim of containing China. “US backing adds the biggest impetus to India’s ambition…the US is not the whole world. Its endorsement does not mean India has won the backing of the world. This basic fact, however, has been ignored by India,” it said.

“Although the South Asian country’s GDP accounts for only 20 percent of that of China, it is still a golden boy in the eyes of the West, having a competitive edge and more potential compared to China. The international “adulation” of India makes the country a bit smug in international affairs,” it talked about India.

..lashing out at the nationalists in India and the public reaction to China blocking India’s NSG bid, the editorial said Indians need to learn to ‘behave’.

India is so proud of their:'democracy" and boast all the time these days about its potential not knowing that it would actually be the one thing that will hold them back in the future, while China's quality of life will continue to advance, bringing Pakistan along the way and also eradicating terrorism at the same time, and become more democractic with Chinese characteristics.
living in his own dreamworld -- "democratic with Chinese characteristics" meaning rule by the Communist Party...

China could be a very serious challenge to the established pattern of power in Asia. Eventually a war with China is more than likely, and Western powers seem utterly unprepared.

China will break up in the next 20 years.

The vast western half of China is a barren wasteland with disloyal Muslim population. The Han infusion is keeping things from boiling over, but China is aging rapidly. With industrial-scale automation and robotics in the West, cheap/mass Chinese labor will not be necessary. Watch as China peaks in 2018 and it is all downhill from there. For them.

To be fair, India might break up as well. Muslim Kashmir and Christian Northeast are primed for seceding. With Brexit, EU’s disintegration, Kurdish independence, etc., Kashmir and pockets of Non-Hindu India might want to assert their own independence.

The era of large Nation-State is over. Most likely. If Trump wins, USA might break-up. If Hillary wins, USA will definitely break-up! To be absolutely fair.
