Our elected officials are meant to act in a representative capacity that protects our interests & effects the greatest good. However, they are under no obligation to explain to their constituents the reasons behind certain decisions in matters of national security.
You can be left questioning the motives of the political class, and nurture a suspicion that the entire system is corrupt, since it doesn't comport with "your" narrow view & understanding of all the issues relevant to the situation.
But if you had all the facts at your disposal - as Trump may well have next year - would you act in a similar manner? You would have to suffer all the accusations and suspicions, never daring to tell the common people what the risks were and what was really at stake.
The bottom line is that after a long history of resource scarcity, we had a 250 year run of excess. Never before has that kind of situation ever existed. We are now on the down slope, yet the descent has to managed with 7b+ people all wanting a piece of the pie and armed with some capacity for WMDs.
The global ruling elite know the score, but don't want to spook the sheep into over-reacting. Best to let conditions slowly but surely regress to a more manageable steady state. See Agenda 21.
You make me sick. Essentially justifying the actions of Hillary and Obama and the like under the guise that they are saints doing what is best for us. That makes you one of them- Craving the NWO where everyone lives as slaves under the elite few who answer to no one. Because they “love” you and have only your best interests in mind. That is darkness- Not utopia. It is just another Third Reich. These people serve the devil- Not God.
