The spy and espionage business just took a pay cut big time. Why develop and maintain covert operatives when a $10,000 check written out to the Clinton Foundation yields the same results in less time?

It must really SUCK to be an FBI agent who once had pride in working for an upstanding agency that upheld the law. Comey completely TRASHED the FBI's reputation and ALL of its agents within. But then again, THAT IS ONE OF THE GOALS OF THE COMMUNIST AGENDA AND HE SINGLE-HANDEDLY DID THAT IN ONE FELL SWOOP TODAY.

Has Omar Mateen's wife been arrested yet?

It’s the same as Roberts saying, Yes, ObungaCare is unconstitutional, but citizens and the rule of law don’t are pieces of crap in my book; so I’ll make a new standard out of whole cloth.

Actually Roberts was far more reasonable than Comey - there was a legitimate, traceable legal argument behind Roberts. Comey, on the other hand, is literally saying "yeah, she broke the law, but it would be unreasonable to try to prosecute her." Which is bizarre - WHY would it be "unreasonable"?

Ultimately it's Lynch who's hiding here though. She still decides what she's going to do. For her to claim that she would follow the FBI's recommendation before she even knew what it was, was literally dereliction of duty. Because now, rather than judge Comey's decision, she's just accepting it sight unseen. Which is ridiculous, since he's openly telling everyone she broke the law.

So why isn't the media pounding on Lynch to judge Comey's utterly irrational conclusion? Why aren't they asking her if she agrees that prosecution of known criminal acts against Hillary are "unreasonable"? After all, all Comey did was recommend - Lynch decides.

They didn’t “rewrite” anything - they simply violated existing law as written.

Not a very comforting act by the Director of the FBI.

I’m getting sick of A. McCarthy. By himself his articles (except those which are anti-Trump) and his books seem sensible and informative. But the friends he admires, like Fitzpatrick in the Valerie Plame leak-investigation and now Comey, suck and reflect that McCarthy needs to get his s?!$ together. His admiration for these MORONS doesn’t enhance his intellect or my respect for Andy. Figure it out McCarthy.

Didn’t know he admired Fitzpatrick — obscene.

That’s not what happened.

JAMES COMEY decided he would rather be an ACCESSORY AFTER THE FACT to FELONY ESPIONAGE AND TREASON than actually do his Job, The pile of Cash also helped I’m sure.

FBI Rewrites Federal Law to Let Hillary Off the Hook

Shameful episode of American history.
Hard to believe the director of the FBI was bought and paid for...

Was that the reason he was appointed to begin with? Did they know in advance they could control him? ... Check out article, also # 1 , # 2 , and perhaps other comments.

So, I guess tomorrow Gen Petreus’ judgement will be forgiven because he obviously did not “intend” to harm the United States EITHER.

I have older family members (retired) who held top secret clearances in the US Navy and who are simply appalled at this case. They lived decades of their lives under a discipline in which one document left out or mislaid could end or derail a career, and in which doing anything remotely like what Hillary has done would result in certain jail time. Yet, if you are the right kind of “elite” in our political world you can just about get away with murder.

Oh, but the Clinton's HAVE gotten away with murder!

See the Clinton Body Count List

I think the regular FBI did their job. The political FBI did not.
After the statements tha Comey made, shows its politics not rule of law that prevails.
Trump will destroy Cankles with this info.....

IMHO

It would appear that anyone considered for a position anywhere in this administration has to be corrupt.

I believe his effusive statement about no outside pressure was code-word for enormous outside pressure and he caved to the non-indictment but decided to lay out a criminal case anyway - he left her twisting for renewed Trump attacks by proving she lied about the emails and in fact committed felonies under the codes that protect classified.

That seems entirely plausible. Have emphasized “enormous outside pressure” along with “left her twisting” .

It was as though his statement was written by two authors. For his part, it was inconceivable that he could successfully deny his 140 investigators found felonious behavior – thus, he laid it out very clearly.

For the second part, someone handed him the language of the preferred conclusion that no reasonable prosecutor would pursue the matter. No doubt Lynch agreed to accept his recommendations only after she knew what they would be.

When the Senate failed to convict BJ and allowed him to remain in office, the argument was that it was in the nation’s interest to deny VP Gore the opportunity to campaign for the presidency while sitting in the Oval Office.

When otherwise educated politicians, many of whom were experienced attorneys or judges, said, “it is enough for me that he says he was born in Hawaii”, some thought it was because they were trying to avoid the almost certain fact that Hillary would step into the Oval Office as his replacement.

However, there is no way to view the current event as something other than the machinations of powerful, evil individuals in the highest offices of our nation. After witnessing yesterday's performance by the head of the FBI, I would expect Trump to refuse a government security detail until after he is inaugurated.
