I was in LA a long time ago, talking to a LEO for some reason. Just chit chat. He told me that with 73 nationalities in the LA area (at that time), the White guy is caught in the middle.
We have a boat in Ventura and one of our neighbors is a detective with LAPD based at, I believe, Rampart. I said wow. He is the nicest, coolest, calmest man. He told me he lives on his sailboat for a reason. That when he leaves the cesspool that LA is, he gets out of his car, takes a deep breath, and it all just falls away. One big sigh.
