The “narrative” about cops killing citizens is not only not false, but the numbers are off the charts and in unprecedented territory.

Cops in the US killed more citizens in the first 3 months of this year than cops in the UK killed during the entire 20th century. The de-escalation of violence has to start with de-escalating the violence of law enforcement. “Officer safety” cannot be held as a higher value than the protection of the rights of citizens.

You might want to rethink your statement.

There. Fixed it.

Obama, the DOJ and his Red Guards like #BLM planned another round of street riots and protest well in advance. Its a big country - they only needed to pick a pretext, and then kick-off their movement.

The targets two years ago were 2012 elections and local police independence and control. Is the only target this year the 2016 Presidential election - or is there yet another purpose?

So, your suggestion is to disarm US police? Or...what?

The thought certainly crossed my mind. This will get Comey’s awkward answers off the front page won’t it?

Bammie is always exhorting us bitter clingers to “turn in your guns and trust the Muslims”.

Gun stores will be crowded today.

same thoughts i have this morning. this is a complete replay of the late 60’s/early 70’s.

i used to think everything boiled down to conservatives vs. liberals/progressives and this was a political struggle.

then i discovered that it was really western civilization vs. cultural marxists, making this a cultural/societal struggle. this helped me understand why feminists, sodomites, atheists, etc. were all on the same side.

now, i see what is really going on. it’s the age old struggle between good and evil. on one side is Jesus. on the other is Satan. you’re on one side or the other. all of these BLM activists/terrorists/assassins are doing the bidding of Satan whether they know it or not. same with the sodomites, muzzies, feminists, atheists, etc. it’s a worldwide struggle and the good guys will be losing it until the day of judgement. that’s why the world seems so out of control right now. Satan is winning.

it’s going to get much, much worse.

My suggestion is to de-escalate the violence.

“Officer safety” protocols should not include a shoot-first-coverup-later mentality.

Traffic stops and other types of fines and confiscations of private property should not be used as a revenue source for PDs or municipalities.

This 80k SWAT raids a year stuff has to stop. There are far more peaceful ways to apprehend suspects. This isn’t Afghanistan.

Also what has to stop is the supply of military hardware to civilian PDs. Military occupation isn’t the job description.

And another thing that would help immensely is for the elites not to be above the law as is so vividly demonstrated in the Clinton case. Failure to enforce laws against people at the top undermines the moral justification for enforcing them against people at the bottom - it’s either equal justice under law or something else, and right now this country’s law enforcement regime is firmly on the side of the something else.

"He has been repeatedly wrong. He was wrong about the arrest of Henry Lois Gates. He was wrong about Treyvon Martin. He was wrong about Michael Brown in Ferguson. He was wrong about Freddie Gray. and he is bloody wrong about America which he hates with his father's passion.

Well to be truthful Obama could care less about those incidents

The Bleeping MSM turned them into a national issue so he had to come out for his black voting bloc

THE BLEEPIN MSM is the real problem

I agree on every one of your suggestions.

We could de-escalate on the shoot first approach to canines while we were at it, too.

When he says anything about ‘divisiveness’, he means all white people are inherently racis’.

-- The "narrative" about cops killing citizens is not only not false, but the numbers are off the charts and in unprecedented territory. --

I think what is false (although I confess not studying the statistics personally) is that "cops killing citizens" has a skew that suggests racial bias. This is different from arrest and incarceration figures that can be used to spin the falsehood that blacks don't deserve being arrested disproportionately to their demographic standing. Not saying all blacks are criminals, obviously they aren't. But a bigger fraction of blacks is criminal, compared with the fraction of non-black. Just to put made-up numbers on it to illustrate my thought, maybe 1 in 20 whites is a criminal, but 3 in 20 blacks are.

That conclusion is the one that is being lied about and hidden, and it is the one that should be front and center. There is a culture issue here, and it is staggering.

I don't disagree that there is also a "dangerous cop" culture, in their ranks. The "us vs. them" thing is generally getting worse.

A worthy addition to the list.

We can also add that good cops have to protect citizens from bad cops. The “Thin Blue Line” creed is inherently seditious and creates an us vs. them situation when what police are hired for is to be on the citizens’ side, not to form their own faction with interests that contradict those of the citizens and violate the mission they are paid to perform, which is enforcement of the law - yes, even when other cops are the lawbreakers.
