Newt sounds like a college sophomore who’s just discovered he’s smarter than most other people—and who has an irresistible need to share his new discovery with the world.
Newt is a self-absorbed fraud, always has been. I may have told this story out here in the past, so I’ll give the condensed version: I confronted Newt at a private meeting of republicans in the mid-90s & suggested he start addressing cultural issues: abortion, immigration & Affirmative Action like he promised the base that he would.
He took offence to this, and suggested it would be addressed. I retorted that there had been zero movement on these issue. He got red in the face & told me to go F myself. I told him the same.....and said to the rest of the people at the meeting that this shows that nothing is going to chance in D.C.
Guess what happened next: the fat-load charged at me & tried to spit in my face. He missed, and he was lucky several people jumped between us. He’s a psychological mess.
