I don't get that feeling about General Flynn. He is all about leadership. In the Army he had to lead and deal with diversity. He had to actually accomplish positive outcomes. His explanation that he grew up in a Democratic household when the party was very different works for me; he said he votes for leaders. He also stood up to Obama's shortcomings concerning terrorism, at the expense of his career.

The abortion issue? Too weak for my tastes, but perhaps the best we get, since it's REPUBLICAN judges that haven't supported conservative social issues. Besides that, Trump will be nominating the judges. The best we can do is to get this and other issues back to the state level with the feds getting out of our lives. That's where we'll turn things around.

What the country needs now is a proven leader who can bring people together. I don't see anyone else who can do that. Sessions? Yeah, but without him in the US Senate that disgusting group of backstabbers would be even further out of control, with no one to mentor the as yet not totally compromised more recent additions.

I know just about all FReepers are pro-life. Would I prefer a strong pro-life ticket? Yes.

You know what I would like more? A winning ticket.

What I mean by that is Trump has the best chance to win.
Trump has already laid out the SCOTUS judges he would appoint, all vetted by the Federalist Society - a very conservative group. He even asked Ted Cruz for help in identifying more conservative judges when they met this week. So Trump’s doing well enough for me on the judge issue.

Getting a strong military person as VP (also strong on RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISM) is not a bad move.

With regard to abortion:

Step 1 - Get Trump in the White House
Step 2 - Trump appoints conservative judges from his list to wind up with 6 or more conservative justices. (Can’t rely on Kennedy for anything other than stupidity)
Step 3 - Roe v. Wade is revisited.
Step 4 - Abortion is determined to be a states’ issue to decide on a state-by-state basis.

Then we can get the progress we desire one state at a time.

Whining about whether a particular VP candidate is 100% conservative on every issue gets us nowhere, imo.
